This is a list of towns in New York. As of the 2020 United States population census,^[1][2] the 62 counties of the State of New York are subdivided into 933 towns, 62 cities, and 10 American Indian reservations. Towns in New York are considered a third-level administrative division and a minor civil division by the US Census Bureau, in contrast to cities and villages, which are fourth-level divisions.
